AVECs: credible alternatives for financing OPs?
Pro ARIDES strengthens the governance and networking capacities of actors in San and Tominian
The program organized in July 2023 in San and Tominian the training in governance under the aegis of AMAPROS, local implementing partner in Mali. This initiative aimed to strengthen the governance of POs, AVEC (Village Savings and Credit Associations) as well as community relays in the region .
The main objective of this training was to enable members of OPs and AVECs to take ownership of the texts governing cooperative life, to understand the roles and responsibilities of the members of the different management bodies of the cooperatives, and to master the organization and management of the activities of their cooperatives, including administrative and financial management.
