Knowledge development and management is defined as
- A collaborative and systematic process for creating, synthesizing and sharing information, ideas or experiences to improve performance and achieve organizational goals.
- This process also refers to the means and/or tools used to collect, analyze, store and diffuser the intellectual capital resulting from knowledge management. This may include training materials, procedures, documents, ideas, skills, experience, etc.
- It’s not an organizational goal in itself, but rather a Means (of achieving an efficacious and efficient level of results; a Sharing (strategic and systematic); a tool for influencing change ( individual, collective, organizational).
- The key issue is to ensure knowledge, distinguishing between the three levels of knowledge: data, information and knowledge.
