The Pro-ARIDES Program in Niger participated in the 2022 edition of SAHEL, the Niger Agricultural, Hydraulic, Environmental and Livestock Fair held in Niamey from February 25 to March 2, 2022.
The main objective of this participation is to ensure the communication and visibility of the Pro-ARIDES program towards the general public, organizations of producers, processors and other agro, slylvo pastoral professionals of Niger and the sub-region present at this event.
The Pro-ARIDES stand was visited by several participants who came to get information, to better understand the program and its implementation, but above all to exchange on the possibilities of partnership or support of the program.
Different types of agricultural products (Potatoes, green beans, cabbage, etc.) from the farmers’ organizations supported by the program were exhibited at the stand for a concrete visibility of the program’s actions.
It should be noted that SAHEL is organized by the national network of chambers of agriculture of Niger (RECA) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and other sectoral ministries such as the Ministry of Livestock, the Ministry of Environment and the fight against desertification, the Ministry of Hydraulics, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Youth Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Vocational Training, as well as the High Commission for the 3n initiative “Nigeriens feed Nigeriens” (HCI3n).
